Postcard from the UK

Happy New Year to all.

2012 has started at a cracking pace.

I’ve spent the last few weeks in the UK, catching up with friends and family over Xmas, and wouldn’t you know, with just a week or so until we fly back, the kids have finally got their body clocks into UK time!

By pure chance I ended up playing a round of golf (yes I know, in England, in Winter – interesting choice) with my primary school headmaster!

I also had the chance to go to City of Manchester Stadium to see my beloved Manchester City narrowly beaten 3-2 by
our arch rivals United. Great game, amazing atmosphere, just a shame about the result.

On Wednesday 11th Jan, I’m a guest at  MojoLive, a Manchester business networking seminar, discussing how to nurture the talent of our young, in a session entitled, “From the Classroom to the Boardroom.”

On Thursday 12th Jan, I’ve been invited to guest host the UK Edchat forum on Twitter, at 8pm GMT. Feel free to join in!

I’ve also been invited onto an education focused radio show on Sunday 15th Jan at 6pm GMT.

Then it’s back to Oz.

In other news… I’m very please to be able to say, I’ve been invited to contribute to the UK edition of the Huffington Post. You can read my first post here.

I hope to catch up with you during 2012, either face-to-face on online!
